The Shepherd Police Department created a Facebook post for people to share good news to spread positivity.

The post is inspired by actor John Krasinski’s https://youtu.be/F5pgG1M_h_U" target="_blank">YouTube video that highlights positive moments during an uncertain time.

Shepherd police chief Luke Sawyer said the post has over 200 comments and counting.

"I know it was good for us to read, to feel positive and motivated," Sawyer said. "I think it also encouraged those who were following it and positing, to scroll through other peoples' comments to see what other people are doing and how they are smiling."

People are taking a break from the latest coronavirus news to share what happened in the past week.

One got an unexpected scholarship, some had a Nerf gun battle with their kids, and someone's their husband did the dishes three times.
