MSU launches new Nassar investigation

Michigan State University says it's launching a new "independent investigation" into Larry Nassar. It will look at how the former Olympic and University doctor was able to sexually abuse patients for decades.

Rachael Denhollander isn't breathing a sigh of relief just yet.

The first woman to publicly accuse Nassar, she's been working with MSU to help hire an independent investigative firm.

And while she says we still don't know whether this investigation will be any different than the others MSU has promised in the past...

She's hopeful.

"What really is taking place here is significantly different than what's been done. And it's exactly what we've been asking for, what I've been asking for, for the last three years."

MSU says this investigation will be public, and will focus on all mistakes MSU made - even the ones that weren't criminal.
