Michigan State University deans go public with suggestions for future of MSU.

Branislav Ondrasik

Eight deans at Michigan State Univeristy went public Wednesday with suggestions on how the campus can move forward without forgetting the crisis caused by former physician Larry Nassar.

Larry Nassar was sentenced earlier this year to decades in prison, after sexually assaulting hundreds of women and girls who went to him for treatment.

The article posted on the Inside Higher Ed website cautions the campus not to move on from the crisis, but "keep what happened and the lessons we are learning from it in front of us."

The deans also urge MSU to hold itself accountable, whether you’re a student, faculty member, administrator or trustee.

The article was signed by deans from six colleges plus undergraduate education and The Graduate School.
