This week on "The Juke Joint" broadcast, Robert Barclay celebrated the centennial of the birth of tenor saxman Hal "Cornbread" Singer. He played Singer's material along with his peers in the honking tenor sax tradition depicted in this photo. He also noted the passing of drummer Ginger Baker from Cream, and he debuted new CDs by Janiva Magness, Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, Johnny Burgin, Biscuit Miller, Diane Blue and Big Dave McLean.
