One of President Donald Trump’s sons visited Lansing today, (Tue) in a bid to shore up support for his father two weeks before the election.

Eric Trump visited a sand and gravel company with a Lansing address that lies just inside Clinton County, a traditionally Republican stronghold.  His visit follows a day after his sister Ivanka’s visit to suburban Grand Rapids and three days after the president’s rally in Muskegon.  Trump says his father has bolstered the military, law enforcement and the economy.

“And we will not see that go socialist; we will not see communism come into this country," said Trump. "And you better believe if they had their way, you would see a very different nation.”

Many polls show the president trailing Joe Biden in the state. With 16 electoral votes at stake, Michigan is considered a battleground this election year.
