Biden speaks out during campaign event in Warren

Former Vice President Joe Biden tore into President Donald Trump today [WEDS] at a campaign event in Warren. That's after interview tapes released by journalist Bob Woodward reveal Trump knew far more about the dangers of COVID-19 than he what told the American people.

Trump told Woodward in February and March that COVID-19 could be transmitted in the air, and that it was deadlier than the flu.  But he told the American people at the time that it would disappear, and was no worse than the flu. Biden says it was a life and death betrayal of the American people, as the number of COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now tops 190,000.

"He knew how deadly it was , it was much more deadly than the flu, he knew and purposely played it down," said Biden. "Worse, he lied to the American people."

Biden also announced carrot and stick policies to punish manufacturers for outsourcing, and reward them for investing in jobs here in the U.S.
