The full U-S House is expected to vote this week on whether to impeach President Trump.
The President will be in Michigan that same evening.
Trump is set to hold what his campaign calls a “Merry Christmas rally” Wednesday at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
The Trump campaign says Vice President Mike Pence will also be at the event, following an address at an earlier rally in Saginaw.
The President is targeting Michigan in his bid for re-election – a state he flipped from blue to red, primarily by appealing to working-class voters he said Democrats had forgotten.
The Battle Creek event could be his first rally after being officially impeached by the House.
Republicans have been using impeachment against Michigan Democratic Congresswomen Haley Stevens and Elissa Slotkin…who are in their first-terms and represent conservative-leaning districts.
