President Biden speaks about the economy at the White House Monday. The Biden administration is arguing that higher-than-expected inflation is temporary.

With his trillion-dollar infrastructure investment bill signed, President Joe Biden is in Detroit and Hamtramck on Wednesday to highlight that accomplishment and drum up support for his social agenda.

The infrastructure bill includes billions for electric vehicle charging stations and other money to help transition the country away from fossil fuels.

Speaking at General Motors’ Factory Zero, Biden said the recovery amid the coronavirus pandemic is doing better than expected according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics

“When I look back the last four months, we actually created 710,000 More jobs in the country and fingers reported

on top of the 5.6 million we already had created and been counted, and we knew about so it's good news”

Biden’s Build Back Better framework offers free preschool for three and four-year-olds. It also extends child tax credits – as well as tax breaks for purchasing electric vehicles. The Biden Administration claims the social programs would be paid for by raising taxes on people making more than 400-thousand dollars a year.
