There are currently 193 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Ingham County, down from a peak of more than 200 last week.
Of those, 22 are in intensive care, and 27 are on ventilators.
Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail says she hopes the level of vaccinations will prevent the worst outcomes and make this the last major surge of the pandemic.
“You may end up with some congestion or mild cold in some cases with various vaccines that don’t completely prevent illness but do prevent that serious illness, hospitalization, and death,” said Vail.
Vail expects the number of people in Ingham County who have been given at least one dose of vaccine to go over 100,000 this week.
