Republican Congressman Peter Meijer of West Michigan called yesterday’s [Weds'] events at the US Capitol an “insurrection.”
The freshman congressman from Grand Rapids posted a video on Twitter Wednesday night as lawmakers went back to count electoral votes.

“Like hell I’m going to let a bunch of domestic terrorists interrupt our government, disrupt our proceedings and keep us from doing our constitutional duty," said Meijer. "So we’re going back to do just that tonight.”

Meijer did not support the efforts to challenge Presidential election results.
