During its three decades as the home of the Detroit Pistons, the Palace saw the team reach the heights…,winning NBA titles and plunge to the deepest depths, with a brawl between players and fans remembered as the ‘Malice in the Palace.’

The Palace’s future dimmed back in 20-17 when new Pistons owner Tom Gores decided to move the team from Auburn Hills to Downtown Detroit’s new Little Caesars Arena.

Gores and Livonia-based developers Schostak Brothers have agreed to a joint venture to the turn the Palace property into a mixed use office park. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Auburn Hills Mayor Kevin McDaniel says the plan a ‘win-win-win’ for his city….its business community and its residents
