Snyder's attorneys seek to have criminal charges dismissed

The ruling did not include Snyder and another defendant because they are charged with misdemeanors.

Former Governor Rick Snyder was among nine former government officials indicted last year as part of a criminal investigation into the Flint water crisis.

But earlier this month, a judge dismissed felony charges against seven of the defendants.

The judge acted after the Michigan Supreme Court found problems with the one-person grand jury which handed down the indictments.

The former governor’s attorneys maintain his charges should be dismissed for the same reason.
