700 thousand dollars were allegedly embezzled from a Saginaw area credit union.
Charges were filed on June 9th against the former CEO of the credit union - and included 13 different counts of embezzlement.
Stanley Hayes could face up to twenty years in prison for embezzling from the credit union over the course of his time as CEO, between 2005 and 2016.
Megan Hawthorne is with the office of the Attorney General, which filed the charges. She said an investigation into the credit union revealed serious problems.
