This weekend on Homespun we celebrated the life of Randy Scruggs with some live tracks from the Earl Scruggs Revue and his work on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". We also heard the blues of Otis Spann and Washboard Sam, and sampled new music from  "The Lucky Ones".

This week on "The Juke Joint" broadcast, Robert Barclay, the Duke of Juke, shared some stories about George "Harmonica" Smith, John Mayall, Son Seals, Tom Waits, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rod & Honey Piazza, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Albert Collins and Hound Dog Taylor, along with their music.

Some great vocals from Billy Eckstine, Dinah Washington, Johnny Hartman, Harry Connick, Jr. and Karrin Allyson, plus an incredible jazz jam led by Count Basie and the incomparable drums of Art Blakey on Blue Note and Louis Bellson in concert!
