Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued until 7pm Sunday

National Weather Service
Counties shaded in pink are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7pm, Sunday, June 11.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the northern Lower Peninsula and the eastern and central Upper Peninsula until 7pm Sunday evening.

As of 2:45pm, a line of severe storms was passing through eastern Wisconsin and approaching Lake Michigan. Those storms are expected in the WCMU listening area between 3pm and 7pm Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, any severe storms that form will be capable of producing strong winds and large hail.

Additional storms are possible across the region overnight, and isolated severe weather cannot be ruled out. Generally, these isolated severe storms are expected north of Clare.

The latest weather information is available from the National Weather Service.
